Wellness Services at The Healing Room
The Healing Room is pleased to offer a variety of wellness services described below. Note that these services are not psychotherapy or a substitute for medical or mental health treatment, however they may serve as a meaningful complement to your overall health and wellness journey!
A Therapeutic Sound Immersion is a personalized, trauma-informed approach to sound and nervous system wellness. Sessions blend therapeutic sound, intentional presence, and individualized, trauma-informed care. Unlike a traditional group sound bath, every session is thoughtfully designed for you, allowing the experience to unfold naturally, rather than following a predetermined sequence.
Looking to slow down, create space, or simply experience therapeutic sound in a personalized setting? Each session meets you where you are. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by the pace of everyday life, experiencing stress or emotional fatigue, or are simply curious about therapeutic sound in a safe, supportive environment, your session will be designed as an immersive experience specifically for you. Sessions are facilitated by Josh Crownover, a Licensed Professional Counselor and trained musician with additional training in therapeutic and wellness-based applications of rhythm and sound. Read more here. (Sessions are 60 minutes.)

Designed exclusively for you/your group, Private Drumming Sessions use rhythm, intentional drumming, and periods of quiet awareness to offer an engaging experience for grounding, self-expression, connection, and present-moment awareness.
Unlike traditional drum lessons or public drum circles, there’s nothing to learn, perform, or get “right.” Each session is responsive to the individual or group and may incorporate simple rhythms, repetition, improvisation, call-and-response, and intentional periods of listening and stillness. Sessions are facilitated by Josh Crownover, a Licensed Professional Counselor and trained musician with additional training in therapeutic and wellness-based applications of rhythm and sound. His approach brings together musical experience, intentional use of rhythm, and a trauma-informed understanding of safety, presence, and human connection to create an experience that’s accessible regardless of musical background or ability. No musical experience required! Instruments provided. Read more here. (Sessions are 60 minutes.)

Where attention goes, energy flows. Reiki is a gentle technique used to release stress and tension, induce deep relaxation, and promote healing, balance and an overall sense of well-being.
Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe supplemental healing modality that allows energy to flow where it’s most needed. Studies support the use of Reiki as a complementary treatment for reducing anxiety and pain, inducing relaxation, improving fatigue and burn-out, and strengthening overall well-being.
What to expect: you’ll be invited to lie down fully clothed on a massage table while the practitioner gently places their hands on (or over if no touch is preferred) the body with very little pressure applied. (You may also choose sit in a chair if upright is more comfortable for you!) Music and essential oils are offered/optional, and sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs. Reiki is often described as a warm and deeply relaxing experience. (Sessions are 50 minutes.)

Jin Shin Jyutsu® physio-philosophy is an art of harmonizing the life energy in the body. This modality releases tensions which are the causes for various symptoms in the body. Our bodies contain energy pathways that feed life into all of our cells. When one or more of these paths become blocked, this damming effect may lead to discomfort or even pain. Jin Shin Jyutsu® helps to gently release these blockages for healing and harmony. WHAT TO EXPECT: Clients are invited to lie down fully clothed to receive this gentle, light-touch practice that helps harmonize and balance energy in the body physically, mentally and spiritually.
